Stone Circle at the Schoolhouse

The Foundation of Light is a holistic learning community and spiritual center for meditation, healing, and study. The purpose of the Foundation of Light is to promote spiritual understanding and practice as found in all the world's great religions, in accordance with divine purpose or cosmic Law. Among the areas of endeavor which the foundation seeks to include within its sphere of programming: the study and practice of meditation and spiritual healing, an investigation into different levels of awareness or consciousness, the influence of natural foods, and herbs in promoting health, the impact of thought and visualization in bringing about spiritual growth, the development of individual creativity, the advancement of world peace and unity, and promoting living on the earth in ecological balance

Some of what you'll find at FOL:

    Meditation

As an aid to the expansion of consciousness and to world service, the study and practice of meditation is an integral part of many of our activities. We adhere to no fixed form of meditation and encourage experimentation and diversity in pursuing the spiritual path. We offer many opportunities for meditation, both indoors and out.

    Healing

Each person has a unique path to wholeness and integration. We actively explore and offer study in a wide variety of healing techniques, including stress reduction, relaxation, nutrition, touch, sound, color, vision, and energy therapies.

    Study

We sponsor study groups as well as individual research projects. Topics have included sacred space, homeopathy, study of herbs, dream analysis, the effects of foods on physical and spiritual development, dowsing, and creative movement.

    Creative Expression

To encourage the development of individual and group creativity,  we offer a forum for participation in art, music, movement, literature and visual media as an expression of spirit. Each person develops his or her own unique capabilities and forms of expression.
